2018-19 Premier League – Saturday 24th November Matches Betting Preview

The Premier League comes back from the latest international break with seven matches on Saturday and with the gaps now over the focus can go full steam ahead towards the busy Christmas period which is looming large on the horizon.

All of the title contenders are on show across just two kick off times on Saturday so we should be in for a really top day of football in the top flight as the title race begins to take shape nicely heading into the aforementioned Xmas spell.

3pm Matches

There are six matches in the usual 3pm slot with one of them coming from the Amex Stadium as Brighton play host to Leicester who have had enough time to get themselves over the emotional few weeks they have had. Everton welcome Cardiff to Goodison Park in another of the 3pm games while Manchester United go up against Crystal Palace in a game they really need to win.

The Claudio Ranieri regime gets going at Craven Cottage when his Fulham side welcome a Southampton team who are under huge pressure. Watford take on Liverpool in a match many are seeing as the more attacking one of the afternoon while Manuel Pellegrini faces his old club as West Ham United take on Manchester City at the London Stadium.

Late Game

The action concludes at Wembley Stadium where two London rivals collide when Tottenham Hotspur host Chelsea in a match which might well have a significant implication on the title. Tottenham in fourth sit a point behind unbeaten Chelsea in third so this has the feeling of a huge way to round off a pretty important day in the Premier League.

Betting

I’ll go with two bets in this division on Saturday with the first one coming from Vicarage Road where I fancy this Watford side has what it takes to break down the Liverpool defence. Whether they have it in them to keep the door shut at the other end I’m less convinced so I’m expecting to see a few goals when these two collide. Liverpool haven’t been as good in front of goal this season but they create plenty so someone will take a hiding soon. It might be Watford, it might not but I think both can contribute to the scoring and deliver a profit on the 2.75 goal line.

Chelsea head to Wembley undefeated this season and at the very least I think they can maintain that against a Tottenham side who have already come up short to the other two sides above them in the table in Manchester City and Liverpool. Chelsea have been excellent so far this season and in Eden Hazard they have the man of the season so far. Tottenham have a few issues defensively and I expect Chelsea to exploit that. Spurs can get at Chelsea but they haven’t delivered in the big games for a while. I’m with Chelsea on the draw no bet line.
