Another round of Premier League matches gets underway on Saturday as a big weekend arrives to give us plenty of great clashes to look forward to. To make Saturday even better we have four kick off times and three TV matches in the UK to get stuck into.
We have to wait until Sunday to see two of the top four in action but the other two sides do battle on a very tasty looking Saturday. Some other appealing sides are on show on Saturday which should make for a great day of football.
Early Kick Off
The action begins at the Vitality Stadium where Bournemouth host Manchester United. It is not very often when we can say Bournemouth are the higher placed side of the two when they meet but that is the case this week with Bournemouth in sixth and Manchester United in eighth. With that in mind this is a big match for Jose Mourinho and his men. They can ill afford to slip up even with two of the sides above them playing each other.
3pm Matches
There are four Premier League matches at 3pm on Saturday with the attention of many likely to be on the Cardiff City Stadium when Cardiff City play host to a Leicester City who are playing for the first time since that horrible tragedy last weekend. The other three matches are fairly low key with Everton hosting Brighton at Goodison Park, Newcastle playing host to Watford at St James’ Park and Burnley making the trip to London to face a West Ham team who could do with getting back to winning ways.
5.30pm Kick Off
The big match of the day is the penultimate match on the card when Arsenal play host to Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium in a contest which should be an absolute belter throughout. Arsenal go into the contest unbeaten in 13 matches in all competitions while Liverpool are still unbeaten in the Premier League this season so something has to give in what is quite clearly the standout match of the weekend.
Late Game
The final match of the day comes from Molineux where Wolverhampton Wanderers play host to a Tottenham Hotspur side who will be looking to bounce back from defeat to Manchester City in the Monday Night Football. Wolves go into the match with successive defeats on their record so they could probably do with a positive result in this one as well, which should ensure that we get a match of two committed sides.

Betting
I’ll go with a couple of bets over the course of the piece on Saturday. The first of those comes from Wales where Cardiff City and Leicester City have to be huge candidates in the both teams to score market. It remains to be seen how Leicester will go after the events of the last week but they want to honour their chairman so I’m expecting them to give this a right good go. It took Cardiff four matches to find the net this season but they let the handbrake off after that and now the only sides they’ve not scored against since are Tottenham and Man City. Leicester are neither of those so I’m expecting the goals to flow. Only Fulham have leaked more than Cardiff this season and Leicester have conceded the fifth most. I’m expecting the goals against column to register for both sides here.
Arsenal saw a run of seven successive wins end with a draw against Crystal Palace last week but while that record sounds good they only played two sides in the current top half in that run and there is a suspicion that Watford won’t be there when the table settles down a little. When Arsenal have faced a top side they have been found out and I suspect they will be found out against Liverpool too. Liverpool are on fire this season although in fairness their only dropped points have come to good sides. They did win at Tottenham though which has shown that they can beat top opposition which Arsenal haven’t. I’m tempted by Liverpool here but the more obvious bet is over 3 goals. The last five meetings between these two have averaged 5.4 goals so over 3 is the way forward.
