2018-19 Premier League – Saturday 6th October Matches Betting Preview

After the Friday Night Football got the Premier League weekend underway there is a truncated day of action on Saturday with this round of fixtures largely being about the huge clashes to come on Sunday.

In all we have six fixtures on Saturday but unlike the usual three kick off times we are down to just two as we head into the international break. The main protagonists largely feature on Sunday but there are a couple of eye catching sides on show on Saturday.

3pm Matches

Burnley will be looking to continue their good form when they play host to struggling Huddersfield Town. Another side who have struggled out of the blocks are the new boys Cardiff City and things don’t look like getting any easier for them on Saturday when they go up against Tottenham at Wembley Stadium. Watford play host to Bournemouth in a match which involves two surprise packages of this season.

The other two matches look pretty competitive where Crystal Palace welcome the new boys Wolves to Selhurst Park and at the King Power Stadium both Leicester City and Everton will be looking to build on fine wins last weekend when they do battle in what could be the pick of the matches at the traditional kick off slot.

Late Game

The last match of the day will probably turn out to be the biggest one as Manchester United host Newcastle United. If reports are to be believed this is Jose Mourinho’s swansong at Old Trafford so it will be interesting to see what sort of performance his side put in against a Newcastle team who are looking for their first Premier League win of the campaign.

Betting

It is a quiet day in terms of the amount of action and it is quiet in terms of the number of bets I’m going with as I only like the one over the course of Saturday which comes from Turf Moor where I think Burnley can get the better of Huddersfield Town.

Huddersfield are struggling to score goals and in truth they are struggling to avoid conceding them as well and that is never a good combination. Who knows what the issue was with Burnley at the beginning of the season, only they will know if it was down to their Europa League exploits but whatever it was they look to be behind them now. They have recorded back-to-back top flight wins and with their confidence rising I expect them to see off the Terriers.

Tips

HALF LOSS – Back Burnley (-0.25AH) to beat Huddersfield for a 4/10 stake at 1.95 with BetVictor
