Preview

The big match of the night comes from the John Smith’s Stadium where bottom of the pile Huddersfield Town take on a Burnley side looking for successive wins to pull themselves away from danger. The TV match comes from St James’ Park where Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will go in search of a fourth straight win when he takes his Manchester United side to face Newcastle United.

Elsewhere Chelsea will look to enhance their top four credentials when they play host to a Southampton side who could do with a positive result. Two entertaining sides meet when Bournemouth host Watford at the Vitality Stadium while West Ham host Brighton at the London Stadium. Wolverhampton Wanderers take on Crystal Palace at Molineux.

Betting

This does not look like the easiest card in the world in truth but there are a couple that I like. Bournemouth have seen their defence go missing in recent times so they are probably going to need to go after Watford if they are to get anything from their home match but the Hornets should be looking at this as an opportunity to pick up three points on the road. I don’t think either of these sides are the best defensively but they offer enough in attack to make me think that over 2.5 goals can safely land here.

The other bet that interests me is Wolverhampton Wanderers who might just be a little bit when they host a Crystal Palace side who don’t score enough goals for my liking. To be fair Wolves don’t either but they have become a little more prolific in recent times which is encouraging and we saw all their fighting spirit when they came from behind to see off a decent Tottenham side on Saturday. Palace have plenty of shots at goal but rarely do they find the net and if Wolves keep Zaha quiet they can do the double over the Londoners.
