2018 European Darts Grand Prix – Last 16 Betting Preview

The European Darts Grand Prix concludes across two sessions of play in Sindelfingen on Sunday and we are set for a thrilling end to the tournament with the last 16 of it in the afternoon and the remainder of the event in the evening.

Most of the big names made it through the last 32 on Saturday which means we should get some competitive encounters throughout the course of Sunday. As ever with these events we’ll preview the last 16 but time restrictions will deny us the chance to preview the rest of the competition.

First Four Matches

It is Michael van Gerwen who gets us underway on Sunday afternoon when he takes on the feisty opposition of Darren Webster. Dave Chisnall meets Ian White in one of the matches of the afternoon following them. The third match of the session sees the two surprise packages so far go head to head when Jamie Lewis takes on Paul Nicholson. The final match prior to the break sees Michael Smith playing Jermaine Wattimena.

Later Four Matches

The second half of the afternoon begins with a juicy looking match up between Peter Wright and Danny Noppert before Joe Cullen faces Kyle Anderson in a match which has the potential to deliver plenty of fireworks. The penultimate match of the session sees Mensur Suljovic facing Simon Whitlock in what was a Premier League match not so long ago. The round concludes with the world champion Rob Cross facing James Wade.

Betting

I’m only going to go with one in this session which comes in the second match of the day and is a repeat of a bet I took in a recent European Tour event which is for Ian White to see off Dave Chisnall.

I took this bet last month and White delivered the goods in a 6-0 win and while I don’t expect this one to be anything like as emphatic I do fancy that the outcome will be the same. White is throwing some really good darts at the minute and he is beginning to look comfortable on the stage which is important. Chisnall never truly convinces me and given the form White is in I think the 10/11 on him to win here is entirely fair.

Tips

Back I.White to beat D.Chisnall for a 4/10 stake at 1.91 with Coral
