We have four matches in the Royal London One Day Cup on Wednesday and hopefully the rain which hampered the matches on Tuesday will disappear so that we can get some decent action going up and down the country.
As with Tuesday we have one TV match which is the later starting one while the usual methods of keeping up with the earlier matches will be available. That might be the live streams or the social media updates.
North Group
The early match in the North Group sees Derbyshire looking to move into second place for a few hours at least when they take on a Yorkshire side who are right behind them in the table. The later match is from Edgbaston and sees our outright bet from this group in Warwickshire hosting a potentially dangerous Northamptonshire side who could do with a win to boost their qualification hopes.
South Group
Both matches in the South Group are early starts. The big one comes from Northwood where the leaders Hampshire look to extend their lead when they host Middlesex, while Essex will be looking to enhance their qualification chances when they face the only winless side in the competition in Glamorgan, who probably even with four wins can no longer qualify.

Betting
Away from the TV I think Hampshire can take advantage of Middlesex missing Eoin Morgan. The England captain has busted a digit and won’t be featuring here. It would be better if Hampshire had Hashim Amla available for this match but even in his absence there is enough in the Hampshire batting to get the job done here. They will know they should be four from four from their completed matches but I don’t expect them to mess up a winning position here. I don’t think Middlesex are great shakes anyway and without Morgan I certainly don’t. I’m with Hampshire here.
Moving into the TV match and there are a couple of bets that I like. I’m not taking anything in the match outcome as I believe it could be a decent toss to win but I do like the performance of Aaron Thomason. He is having a decent enough campaign with wickets in every match and catches in a number of them too. He comes into the game off the back of 4/45 at Trent Bridge at the weekend which will do him no harm. Two wickets covers his 31.5 line but a wicket and bits and pieces elsewhere also does and I like the idea of him making up 32 over the three scoring methods.
I always think Warwickshire are a good side to look down the order against for a top batsmen because they have some very talented bowlers who can keep top orders quiet as we saw at the weekend. Steven Crook interests me at double figures. He often goes well at Edgbaston and has some decent memories there. He smacked 90 odd against Warwickshire in the recent Championship match there too so we know he can score against this attack. If the top order do fail then Crook could be the one to make up the top score.
