2018 World Championship Snooker – Day 15 Betting Preview

We are down to the final day of action in the World Championship semi-finals at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield and we have two incredibly tight matches that look like going right down to the wire in dramatic fashion that only this tournament can provide.

By the end of the three sessions of snooker on Saturday we will be left with the two men who are going to fight it out for the huge £425,000 first prize and the trophy as well as title of 2018 world champion. Business is really picking up now.

Friday Recap

There were two wonderful sessions of the first semi-final between Kyren Wilson and John Higgins. We saw centuries galore, we saw some unbelievable pots and we saw safety battles of the highest quality. The third session of their match on Friday evening will go down as one of the great Crucible sessions. Over the course of the day they shared the 16 frames they played so Higgins will lead 13-11 when they finish off on Saturday afternoon.

We saw a much cagier session in the other semi-final between Barry Hawkins and Mark Williams. It was a session where both men felt the pressure while at the same time both showed by they would be worthy world champions too. Like the other semi, these two shared the eight frames so it is Hawkins who leads 9-7 overnight with two sessions of this one to run.

In Play Betting

I’ve already got enough invested in the Barry Hawkins vs Mark Williams semi-final and so I don’t want to get involved in that one again but I am certainly happy to get stuck in on the other semi-final between Kyren Wilson and John Higgins.

There has been nothing between these two all week so far. Every session has seen Wilson move to within one frame of Higgins only for the Scot to win the finale to move two frames ahead overnight each time. That trend might well continue but the one thing we can be sure about is that Kyren Wilson is not going to bottle it from here. He’s playing so well. The thing is when he brings his best stuff out it inspires Higgins to find his so we’re set for a belting final session. The frames line remains at 30.5 and while it is only 4/6 I’m happy with that price. Higgins needs just one frame from six to get to 14. Wilson would need three of the first six to get there. The way these two have been sharing frames I expect both to make it to 14 before this one gets decided.

Tips

Back K.Wilson vs J.Higgins – Over 30.5 frames for a 5/10 stake at 1.67 with Ladbrokes
