2020-21 CSA T20 Challenge – Sunday 21st February Matches Tips and Betting Preview

There are two more matches in the CSA T20 Challenge on Sunday, with them both once again coming from Kingsmead in Durban as the competition heads towards the halfway mark of the group phase on what is day three of the event.

As with the tournament to date both the matches are live on Free Sports in the UK so with four sides all looking to improve their positions in the competition there is a lot to play for on what should be a competitive day of action.

Cape Cobras vs Titans (08.00)

The pick of the matches on the third day of play in the tournament is the opening one between the Cape Cobras and the Titans. The Titans are regular winners of this competition and began their campaign with a fine win while the Cobras were well beaten in their first game.

Although the Titans won their opening match they were wobbling at the start of their innings and I’ll be interested to see how they go here as there was an element of them not liking the slow conditions, something they will need to come to terms with if they are going to be competitive in this tournament. The Cobras were always at arm’s length to the Dolphins in their opening match but there were signs that they can be competitive in this event if they perform well. I would expect the Titans to win this, but as with their opening match they are a little short to do it.

Warriors vs Dolphins (12.30)

The second match of the day sees the leaders of the pack, the home side the Dolphins taking on the Warriors who have only played the one match thus far which they lose pretty comfortably to the Highveld Lions on Saturday.

There were plenty of positives for the Warriors in that match and enough to suggest that they could be dangerous in this match. The Dolphins have played their home conditions very well so far and are looking ominous in terms of being title contenders. A win here will as good as secure a spot in the semi-finals although they have picked up a couple of injuries as they have gone along and that is something which just forms a minor concern both in terms of their chances for the tournament and backing them here.

I’m not going to back the Dolphins here but there is a bet I like in the game and that is for over 9.5 sixes. In David Miller the Dolphins have a clean hitter of a cricket ball but the Dolphins are playing the extra batsman after the injury to Andile Phehlukwayo and a couple of young bowlers went the distance in the previous match. The Warriors are a big hitting side themselves so over the course of this one I think 9.5 sixes is well within reach.
