The CSA T20 Challenge continues on Tuesday where we go beyond the halfway point of the regular phase of the competition as two more league games take place on a day where the defending champions will look to seize control once again.
Two sides will bid to keep their playoff hopes alive in the first match of the two on Tuesday while the second game will see two teams with semi-final aspirations battling out. Both matches are on Free Sports in the UK so there is no need not to watch or have it on in the background while home schooling!
Warriors vs Cape Cobras (08.00)
The opening match of the day is as good as win or bust for both the teams involved as the Warriors take on the Cape Cobras in a match that even just a win might not be enough so we might see the sides playing for the bonus point.
Warriors have played two matches in this competition and lost them both but that is still better than the Cape Cobras who have played three times and been beaten in each of them. Technically the Cobras can still make it through but the likelihood is that they are already out of the reckoning so really this one is all about the Warriors. The big problem with the Cobras has been their bowling. They have coughed up 39 wides in their three matches and another bunch of them here would give the Warriors a huge edge.
I’m willing to go with the Warriors in this match even though the Cape Cobras showed a little bit of form with the bat in their last match. Anyone who has followed this site for the period of time we have done T20 previews will know that backing a team who has played a match the day before is very much a no no for us and that is the case with the Cobras here. The schedule for this tournament is pretty brutal so the day off the Warriors had is welcome. We also know they are unlikely to cough up a ridiculous amount of wides and if their bowlers are managed well I think they will keep their qualification hopes alive with a win here.

Highveld Lions vs Knights (12.30)
The second match of the day sees the defending champions Highveld Lions looking to make it back to the top of the table when they go up against a Knights outfit who kept their hopes of making the semi-finals alive with a clutch win on Monday.
Both these teams were winners on Monday so something is going to have to give when they meet on Tuesday. I thought the Lions looked the real deal before a ball was bowled in this tournament and I’ve certainly seen nothing to suggest I was wrong on that front. There were signs of life from the Knights on Monday and it will be interesting to see if that was a flash in the pan against an awful side or if it was the start of a title tilt. Given that they won on Monday, the Knights look a big price here but I’m not taking on the Lions so I’ll leave this one alone.
