Preview

Although it is the bottom end of the table that will be in the spotlight for most of the day, the action begins away from there as the entertainers Leeds United get the day up and running when they host Chelsea in a fixture which has a lot of history to it. Chelsea are looking to push on and secure a top four finish and this is a decent test of their credentials. Once they are done the attention is on the battle to avoid the drop beginning with second from bottom West Bromwich Albion who really need all three points from their trip to Crystal Palace.

Everton are having a decent season but they were well beaten on Monday evening. They will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they host a Burnley side who themselves need some points to continue to stave off the threat of relegation. It might be that the pick of the matches is the last one to kick off where Fulham get the chance to finally escape the drop zone when they host the champions in waiting Manchester City.

Betting

There is only the one bet which interests me on Saturday and it comes in the early kick off where I expect Chelsea to be too good for Leeds United. I like Leeds and enjoy watching them but injuries are starting to bite them quite hard and they’ve just lacked a bit of a spark in recent times and they’ll need to be at their best to contain a Chelsea side who look like they are slowly moving through the gears the longer Thomas Tuchel works with them.

The one area I don’t like Leeds is at the back. I don’t think they are particularly good in that department and their keeper is an accident waiting to happen and that could be the big difference here. Chelsea have only conceded one goal under Tuchel that they haven’t scored themselves and they are beginning to click at the other end of the pitch. I am tempted to get involved in Mason Mount scoring or shooting but I’m worried he’ll be saved for the Champions League so I’ll play it clearer and take Chelsea to cover the -0.75 Asian line.
