Another set of matches in the Premier League start out on Saturday where it is actually a busy day of action in comparison to recent weeks as we have six fixtures taking place up and down the country, with both ends of the table likely to be affected.
The move to have all the Premier League matches televised while fans are not allowed to attend continues on Saturday so there is the chance to watch football for around 10 hours on what should be a good day of action.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off and TV in brackets)
Everton vs Newcastle United (12.30 – BT Sport 1)
Crystal Palace vs Wolverhampton Wanderers (15.00 – Sky Sports Premier League)
Manchester City vs Sheffield United (15.00 – Sky Sports Main Event)
West Bromwich Albion vs Fulham (15.00 – BBC One)
Arsenal vs Manchester United (17.30 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)
Southampton vs Aston Villa (20.00 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)

Preview
The action begins at Goodison Park where Newcastle United will be looking to arrest their horrible run of form when they take on an Everton side who haven’t been as strong on their own patch this season as they might have liked. After they are done we have three matches in the usual kick off slot with the biggest one coming down at the bottom of the table where West Bromwich Albion host Fulham in a match both want to win but neither can afford to lose. Sheffield United will be looking for a quick Manchester double when they head to the Etihad to face a Manchester City team who could kick clear at the top for a few hours. The other match sees Crystal Palace hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The pick of the matches on a Saturday tends to come in the 5.30pm slot and that is the case this week too as a fast improving Arsenal side take on Manchester United who need to bounce back from their shock defeat in midweek with a win if they are to remain close to Manchester City at the top of the table. The final match of a busy day of Premier League action sees two of the surprise packages this season meeting when Southampton host Aston Villa.
Betting
There isn’t a huge amount that I like over the course of the day with one or two bets being tempting but carry a bit of danger to them or a bit too much doubt over them. That leaves me to focus on the big clash at the bottom of the table where West Bromwich Albion take on Fulham in a match which could give us an early indication over the chances that either have to escape the drop. I like the visitors in this one although I’ll take them with a bit of draw cover in what could be an edgy game.
Since Sam Allardyce came in at West Brom they have played four home matches and are currently trailing 17-0 in those outings! Admittedly the last one was against Manchester City which they could write off but hefty defeats at the hands of Leeds United, Aston Villa and Arsenal won’t have been welcomed and Fulham can pile on the misery. Fulham have stopped conceding goals these days but just need to pick it up in the other area of the pitch. Against a West Brom side who they’ve already beaten this term and who are leaking goals at a crazy rate, this might just be the time the Cottagers catch fire in attack again. I think they are the most likely winners here.
