Preview
The action begins at the capital where Thomas Tuchel will go in search of a first win as Chelsea boss but he might have his work cut out against a Burnley side who have suddenly struck gold in terms of finding some form, and after successive wins could see this as a free hit. Once they are done two of the best teams to watch in the division battle it out at the King Power Stadium when Leicester City look to keep their title hopes on track when they entertain Leeds United.
We move back to the capital for the third match of the day where two sides in the top five meet at the London Stadium as West Ham United go in search of a fifth successive Premier League win when they entertain a Liverpool side, who given that they now sit seven points adrift of Manchester City really need to win to keep on the coattails of the Etihad outfit. The final match of the day comes from the Amex Stadium where Brighton and Hove Albion can give themselves a seven point buffer on the bottom three when they host a Tottenham Hotspur team who can’t afford to lose if they are going to stay in the title race.
Betting
I’ll go with one bet over the course of the day in these matches and we have to wait until the final one of them for it to come along as Brighton and Hove Albion face Tottenham Hotspur in a match where I anticipate there being a few goals even without Harry Kane being in the visiting line up for the game. Brighton are one of the better attacking teams in the competition although converting their chances is a bit of an issue but Hugo Lloris in the Spurs goal hasn’t covered himself in glory in recent times so that might help the Seagulls in that quest.
Tottenham actually only have one clean sheet in their last nine matches so the evidence is there to suggest Brighton can find the net but generally when this Spurs side have been abject under Jose Mourinho he finds a reaction from his players and even without Kane there is still Son, Vinicius, Moura, Bale and Bergwijn as well as a number of midfield options to find the net for the visitors. The last three matches between these two over the last 18 months have contained three or more goals. This one can follow suit.
