Another set of matches in the Vitality Blast take place on Tuesday and as we move into September this competition is just getting up to full speed. It will continue to do that with five fixtures in the afternoon and evening.
The international T20 gets all the attention as far as the television is concerned so anyone wanting to keep up with the competition and any bets that they have will need to make their way to the various streams offered up by the counties themselves.
Central Group
There are two matches in the Central Group on Tuesday and they both come in the evening slot. One of them sees arguably the two best sides in this competition in action when Northamptonshire and the Birmingham Bears go at it at Wantage Road in what is a battle of the top two in the early table. Somerset haven’t started the tournament how they would have wanted but they get the chance to put that right against a Glamorgan side who have shown already that they shouldn’t be written off too easily.
South Group
We have a full set of matches in the South Group where the early leaders Sussex head to Lord’s to take on a Middlesex side who won’t know themselves how they are still unbeaten. That is the evening match in this group on Tuesday but before that comes around we have a couple of afternoon clashes. One of those sees Kent taking on a Surrey side for whom Hashim Amla is in the squad for the first time this season. The other match comes from Chelmsford where the defending champions Essex continue their title defence against a Hampshire side who really need to win.

Betting
There isn’t a whole lot that I like on this card I have to admit, which is a bit annoying given that we have no issues with the weather. It has been a decent start to the tournament for us though so I’m not going to push the boat out and chase something I don’t really fancy. One or two tempt me from what I call the side markets but the lines or prices aren’t quite in our favour enough to get involved. I’ll take just the one which is a shorter price than I usually take but which I think will win.
That comes at Lord’s where I think Sussex will see off Middlesex. Sussex look the best team in the South Group and they showed that with a very convincing and comfortable win over Hampshire on Sunday. You look down their batting line up and there is power all the way down while Luke Wright has a lot of bowling options at his disposal even without Chris Jordan and Jofra Archer. Middlesex hit 200 at the weekend but they still look a little light with the bat and as we saw when they tried to defend that 200 score, their bowling can go round the park as well. Sussex are the better team here so I’ll take them to win this one.
