The CONCACAF Gold Cup continues on Thursday evening when the second set of fixtures in Group B take place with the tournament hosts USA among the sides who will be in action in the double header in Kansas City.
USA and Canada are the two dominant forces and they will both be looking for wins which will see them safely into the knockout stages before they meet in the final group match early next week. The other two sides can’t afford to lose so we are in for a competitive evening.
Haiti vs Canada (00.30)
The opening match of the evening promises to be entertaining fayre as a Haiti side who have plenty to offer go up against one of the more aggressively minded attacking forces of Canada in a game which should be very enjoyable.
Haiti are going to have to have a go in this match after narrowly losing to USA in their first match but they created enough in that game to suggest that they can be a factor in this one. Canada looked a very good side against Martinique in their opening match and although in terms of a form guide we are probably going to find out more about the Canadians later in the tournament, they did show enough to think that they could put Haiti to the sword here. I think both will look to utilise their attacking ability and I like over 2.5 goals in this one.

Martinique vs USA (02.30)
The second half of the Thursday double header sees the tournament hosts USA looking to seal their qualification for the next stage when they go up against a Martinique outfit who were competitive against Canada but had no answer to their attacking prowess.
You would think something similar will happen here too but USA looked a little disjointed in attack against Haiti. They got into good positions on a number of occasions but then couldn’t capitalise with the finish or the final pass. Martinique definitely offered enough in the attacking areas to have a chance here but they are going to have to tighten up their defence if they are to get anything from the match. I expect USA to win here but I’m in two minds whether they will cover a pretty sizeable handicap so I’ll leave this alone.
