2017 World Championship Snooker – Day 10 Betting Preview

The second round of the World Championship concludes on Monday and at the end of the day we will know the eight men going into the final week of the tournament to battle it out for the title and the huge first prize.

There were meant to be four matches coming to an end on Monday but one finished early so we are down to three matches to come to a conclusion.

Day 9 Recap

Stephen Maguire was the man who finished his match with a session to spare. He saw off Rory McLeod 13-3 to book his place in the quarter final. The three remaining matches see Mark Selby 10-6 up on Xiao Guodong which means that our bet for Sunday has landed with a session to spare.

The other two matches have Barry Hawkins leading Graeme Dott 10-6 while Neil Robertson and Marco Fu will have the Crucible Theatre to themselves when they come back to finish their match. They will resume at 8-8.

Betting

The latter match is the only one where a betting interest lies. Neil Robertson and Marco Fu were locked at 4-4 after the first session and now they are tied at 8-8 and it wouldn’t be a surprise with the way they are playing if both are still locked together at 12-12 too.

You can get over 23.5 frames at 5/6 which basically means one of them need to win 13-11 or 13-12 for this bet to land. Looking at it the other way in what is essentially a best of nine from here one would have to win 5-2 or easier for the bet not to land. I don’t see that happening so I’m on the overs there.

Tips

WON – Back N.Robertson vs M.Fu – Over 23.5 frames for a 4/10 stake at 1.83 with Coral
