2017-18 Premier League – Sunday 11th March Matches Betting Preview

The latest round of matches in the Premier League continues on Sunday with a couple of matches in the top flight which make up the latest version of Super Sunday. Three London sides will take the centre of attention over the course of the afternoon with a south coast side looking to spoil one of the parties.

Arsenal vs Watford

The action gets underway at the Emirates Stadium where Arsenal will look to build on their win over AC Milan in midweek when they try to end a run of three successive Premier League losses when they take on a Watford side who go into the contest off the back of back-to-back wins.

There is no getting away from the fact that Arsenal have been very ordinary in the Premier League in recent times although generally at home they still look the part in the main. That wasn’t the case against Man City recently but matches against them are not ordinary games so I won’t hold that against them.

Watford have wins over Chelsea and Everton in recent weeks but they have been bang ordinary on the road for quite some time so they will have questions to answer on that front. If they can stay on level terms or nick a lead it won’t take long for them to turn this Arsenal crowd around.

I think we will see goals in this match. I don’t think Watford have the capabilities to shut up shop against a side like Arsenal but there is no reason why they can’t threaten at the other end with solid forward options. You have to go back 11 matches for the last time a match between these two did not have three or more goals in it. I fancy that trend will continue here.

Bournemouth vs Tottenham

The second match of the afternoon sees Tottenham looking to restore their five point advantage over Chelsea in the race for next season’s Champions League. They take on a Bournemouth side who have just started to tail off again.

Tottenham will need to get over their exit from the Champions League in midweek when they go into this match but they know that a win will move them third in the league which should act as a decent incentive. I think Tottenham will win but I’m not convinced they will run away with it or anything.

Bournemouth have the potential to make life a little difficult for Tottenham who aren’t as watertight at the back these days as I would like. I’m tempted by the under but I’m worried about a flat performance from the visitors. To be honest I can’t decide what I think will happen here so I’ll leave the match alone.
