We have a bumper day of action in the Premier League on Saturday and although there are only seven matches on the card we have four different kick off times so for those who like their Premier League this is almost an ideal day for them.
It could be an ideal day for Manchester City too as the leaders could become the champions in the final match of the day but there is plenty at stake in the six fixtures prior to them. Three of the seven matches are live on TV in the UK.

Early Kick Off
The opening match of the day comes from St Mary’s Stadium where the doors to the Last Chance Saloon will swing open for a Southampton side who desperately need a win when they host Chelsea. Based on the last couple of weeks Chelsea look to have clocked off for the season but with an FA Cup semi-final next week Southampton might struggle to keep their mind in the present. Even if they do their form is horrible.
3pm Matches
Just four matches take place at 3pm with the first coming from Selhurst Park as Crystal Palace host their bitter rivals Brighton in a big match at the bottom of the table. Burnley can take another step towards European football next season when they host Leicester at Turf Moor while Huddersfield will hope to pick up a much needed win when Watford visit Yorkshire. Everton head to Wales to take on Swansea in the other match at this kick off point.
Late Game
Liverpool will look to celebrate making the semi-final of the Champions League when they host Bournemouth in what should be a pretty entertaining and free flowing match between two sides who aren’t playing for a huge amount other than league position, unless you think Liverpool could yet drop out of the top four. I don’t think that is going to happen though.
Final Match
This is the big match of the day where Manchester City head to Wembley Stadium for the second time this season to take on a North London giant. They played Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final the last time they played here and this time they will take on Tottenham. City will be champions if they win this match but Tottenham will want to prove their worth so this should be a good way to round off a bumper day of action.

Betting
I’ll go with three bets over the course of the day in the Premier League. The first one is on a Burnley side who shouldn’t be a level ball handicap against Leicester. Burnley have won their last four matches, the latest three of which have come on the road so they will be pleased to get back home and start winning in front of their own fans. Defeat to Newcastle last week near enough ended Leicester’s season from a competitive standpoint so with that in mind I like Burnley here.
Crystal Palace won’t need much motivating against their arch-rivals Brighton. Not only do they need the points to pull away from the danger zone but beating Brighton is always something they enjoy. Only the bottom two in the table have a worse away record than Brighton this season and nobody, not even West Brom, have found the net fewer times on the road than them. Crystal Palace generally play well at home and this is the ideal chance they have been looking for to take a massive step towards Premier League safety.
In the final match of the day I can’t ignore the credentials of Manchester City. They have only failed to win five Premier League matches all season and I certainly did not expect to be getting the champions elect on a level ball line for a fair while. Whether Tottenham have an eye on the cup semi next weekend remains to be seen but they are safe enough in the top four so they could focus on next week. City will be champions but winning it here would be the perfect way to put the midweek disappointment behind them and I expect them to do just that.
