It is the final day of the Dutch Darts Masters in Zwolle on Sunday and we are set for an exciting climax to the tournament beginning with the last 16 in the afternoon and through to the remainder of the event in the evening session.
There were a few shocks in the last 32 on Saturday which means that we have a number of qualifiers dotted in the matches on Sunday but the likes of Michael van Gerwen, Daryl Gurney and Peter Wright add to the quality. As ever time restrictions stop us previewing the evening session but we can look at the afternoon.
First Four Matches
The action gets underway with the man who never played on Saturday due to Rob Cross pulling out in Steve Lennon. He takes on James Richardson before one of the matches of the afternoon as Mensur Suljovic faces Simon Whitlock. One of the local lads is up in the third match of the day when Jermaine Wattimena goes up against Kim Huybrechts while Peter Wright takes us into the interval when he takes on Gerwyn Price in a juicy looking battle.
Final Four Matches
Stephen Bunting was outstanding on Saturday and he begins the second half of the afternoon when he faces the Winmau World Masters winner Krzysztof Ratajski. Daryl Gurney will look to make it into the quarter final when he faces Mervyn King while Cameron Menzies then meets Kyle Anderson. The final match of the afternoon sees Michael van Gerwen taking on Darren Webster for the last spot in the quarter final.

Betting
I’ll go with two over the course of the afternoon. Steve Lennon might have had Saturday off but I don’t think that is a bad thing. He is an improving player and he played well in his win on Friday to make me believe that he can see off James Richardson on Sunday. Richardson is solid but unspectacular. Lennon has the potential to be special and with him getting more and more stage experience and feeling comfortable on the stage we are seeing him play better. He can see off Richardson first up.
Later in the afternoon I like Jermaine Wattimena to beat Kim Huybrechts. Nobody will need me to repeat myself about Kim Huybrechts. I’ve been saying it so often. He’s out of form. He’s low on confidence and he’s not playing well. Given his quick throwing style you can get some rubbish out of Wattimena but he has been much more consistent in 2018 and he was excellent in beating Joe Cullen on Saturday. With the home crowds behind him I fancy the Dutchman can deliver a performance that dumps Huybrechts out here.
