The Premier League heads into the international break with three matches on what looks like it could be a pulsating Sunday of action in the top flight with the biggest clash of the season so far on a wonderful looking card.
The top two meet in the final match of the afternoon and there are a couple of pretenders to the throne on show before that so if anyone needed an excuse to kick back and watch the footy this is very much it.

Fulham vs Arsenal (12.00)
The action begins with a London derby which sees Fulham hosting Arsenal in a match which just looks like it is going to be full of entertainment and excitement between two teams who love to attack.
Arsenal have had a rough time of it schedule wise heading into this match with them playing on the other side of Europe just as recently as Thursday night and that might play into the hands of Fulham. On the flip side of that Fulham have a number of injury issues to address here which is less than ideal so I see goals in this match.
Arsenal matches have had a number of goals in them all season and although their last two have only had two goals in them their opponents have missed all number of chances. Only one of Fulham’s last six have contained less than three goals. I expect them to flow here and over 3.25 looks fair to me.
Southampton vs Chelsea (14.15)
The second match of the afternoon sees Southampton taking on Chelsea in a key match for both sides. A Chelsea win will see them close the gap on whoever drops points later in the day while Southampton need to start finding wins quickly if this is not going to be a season of struggle.
You don’t have to look very hard to see the root of Southampton’s problems. They are finding scoring goals tough which is not ideal against a Chelsea side for whom goals are coming quite freely. I expect Chelsea to win this match but their Thursday night game is enough for me to swerve taking a relatively tight price.
Liverpool vs Man City (16.30)
The last match of the weekend is very much the pick of the clashes in this set of matches as the top two do battle at Anfield when Liverpool look to continue their recent dominance over Manchester City.
Liverpool won the league game at Anfield last season and then did the double over their foes in the Champions League but it was still City who won the title and it is the visitors who head into this match on top of the pile. Both sides have only dropped two points so far this season so they are both in fantastic form so an absolute barnstormer awaits us here.
Both these sides have had good defensive records this season but neither of them have come up against attacks like the ones they are going to face here. I’m very surprised we can get a 2.75 line here when there were seven goals in this fixture last year, five in the league game at the Etihad and three in both Champions League meetings. I’ll take the over.
