2018-19 Premier League – Sunday 28th October Matches Betting Preview

A sad and sombre weekend in the Premier League continues on Sunday with a triple header that could have plenty of implications towards the title race come the latter stages of the campaign with three big sides in action.

We have to wait until Monday night to see the champions in action but the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United will attempt to light up what has been a memorable weekend for the wrong reasons thus far.

Burnley vs Chelsea

We’ll begin our preview with the one match which is not live in the UK on Sunday afternoon as the FA Cup winners Chelsea head to Burnley in a battle of two sides who finished in the top seven of the table last term.

Chelsea have been in decent form this season and I would expect them to win this match but Burnley are never the easiest to get the better of and with doubts over Eden Hazard and Chelsea’s potential without him there is enough in this match to leave a short price alone and just let the Blues win if they are good enough.

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal

The first of the two TV matches on Sunday is a London derby from Selhurst Park where Crystal Palace look to pick up not just their first win on their home soil this season but their first goal too, when they host Arsenal in a good starter to the day.

Arsenal go in search of a dozen successive wins in all competitions and will fancy their chances at a Selhurst Park where the indications so far this term are that it is not as daunting as it has been in previous seasons. There are still plenty of concerns over Arsenal’s defence but whether Crystal Palace are the team to exploit them I have my doubts. I think Arsenal will come out on top in this one.

Man Utd vs Everton

A good looking day in the top flight concludes at Old Trafford where Manchester United go up against Everton in a match where both sides will be looking to win which usually makes for a better contest.

United’s struggles have been well documented this season and they could do without facing an Everton side who should be full of confidence as they go in search of a fourth successive Premier League win and who are beginning to really improve at both ends of the pitch, which is certainly no bad thing at this stage.

Both these sides have defences that have been leaking regularly throughout the season and both have the personnel to go after the game when they are behind so I think the best bet in this one is to back both teams to find the net over the course of the 90 minutes.
