The second weekend in the Super League draws to a close on Sunday afternoon when the final two matches take place up in the north of England. The four sides in action will all be looking for two potentially valuable points.
Three of the four teams in action on Sunday won their opening match of the campaign and will be looking to join Warrington Wolves and Castleford Tigers at the top of the early Super League table heading into the World Club Challenge weekend break.

Wakefield Trinity vs St Helens
The first of the two matches sees the only team of the four on show on Sunday to have lost last week in action when Wakefield Trinity, beaten by London Broncos in their opening match, take on St Helens who saw off Wigan Warriors heading into this match.
St Helens head into this match as the favourites to come through and based on what the two teams delivered I think that is fair enough but Wakefield Trinity are usually tough to beat on their own patch and they tend to raise their game against the leading sides so if recent seasons are anything to go by then Saints will have to work hard to win this comfortably. It is too early in the campaign to get involved in matches like this one so I’ll sit this out.

Salford Red Devils vs London Broncos
The London Broncos’ first away match back in Super League comes from the AJ Bell Stadium when they head north to face a Salford Red Devils side who had a good win over the Huddersfield Giants to get their campaign underway a week ago.
The Broncos also had a good win over Wakefield Trinity on their return to Super League, where they offered plenty of attacking strength and a good deal of entertainment in a good victory. Salford Red Devils took Huddersfield to the cleaners and should be respected on that effort even though the Giants did nothing to the form when they were well beaten by Catalans on Saturday.
Salford might be deserved favourites here but I’m not sure they should be giving London 12pts. That seems a bit extreme to me, especially when you factor in that London beat Salford in the qualifiers last season. I’m pretty happy that the Broncos will stay within a dozen of the Red Devils here if they don’t actually beat them.
