2019 Players Championship Snooker – Day 4 Betting Preview

The second and third quarter finals form the basis of the fourth day of action in the Players Championship inside the Guild Hall in Preston on Thursday. Judd Trump has made the semi-final already and four more men will fight it out to join him.

We are down to just the one table for the rest of the competition so what was already a big tournament has cranked up even further now and we should be in for an excellent few days to conclude the event.

New customers, bet €/£20 on the Exchange and if your first bet loses, we’ll refund you €/£20 in Cash. Bet must be placed in first 7 days of account opening. T&Cs apply. 18+|Gamble Aware.

Afternoon Session

Mark Williams vs Neil Robertson

The first of the two quarter finals on Thursday will be a repeat of a first round clash from The Masters when Neil Robertson saw off Mark Williams. Both men will be gearing up for Sheffield but there is plenty of snooker to be played between now and then.

Williams hasn’t had a season to remember. He has readily admitted that he has sacked it off but he has still managed to win a title and now that he is practicing more he is going to end the campaign strongly. Robertson has bagged a couple of titles this term and is looking in decent touch to push on and win another big tournament here.

When these two met in The Masters I took over 9.5 frames and only a missed brown from Williams denied me that bet. Williams is looking in much the better touch here though and so I’m willing to take the same bet at 6/5 here. I think we’re going to see close matches from here on in and that can begin with this one.

Evening Session

Mark Allen vs Stuart Bingham

The second match on Thursday sees the top seed Mark Allen going up against the eighth seed Stuart Bingham. This is a big match for both men butt for different reasons. Allen’s form has completely deserted him in recent times while Bingham isn’t yet in the Tour Championship and needs to keep winning to keep the chasers at bay.

Allen beat Bingham in the UK Championship and Bingham referenced that match after his first round win over Dave Gilbert so you get the feeling he has remembered and will be out for a bit of revenge in this contest. Allen mentioned how he isn’t happy with his game at the minute despite his win over Stephen Maguire in the first round and based on that a bet on Bingham here has to be the way forward.
