The final day of the Royal London One Day Cup group stage takes place on Tuesday and it sees the South Group draw to a close. We already know Hampshire have qualified for the semi-final from this section but we need to find out who will take on Worcestershire and Lancashire in the quarter finals.
Four teams go into the final day of the group having the chance to finish second or third and either host Lancashire if they were to come second or head to Worcester should their final position in the group be third.

There is a TV match on Tuesday and that is the one at Hove where Sussex take on Glamorgan. This was a slightly surprising choice because Sussex need to win and a raft of results to go their way to make it through while Glamorgan are already out of the competition from a chance to qualify standpoint.
Middlesex are the ones who go into the day in pole position to host a quarter final. If they win at Kent they will get that honour but if they slip up they may not make it through at all. Somerset will qualify for the knockout stages if they can see off Surrey down at Taunton but if either Middlesex or Somerset slip up then Gloucestershire will qualify at one of their expense were they to see off Essex in Chelmsford.

Betting
I’m sticking with the TV match as far as bets are concerned on Tuesday where I think Glamorgan are a big price to see off Sussex. I’ve not really rated Sussex too much in this tournament whereas Glamorgan have shown some good signs mixed in with the rubbish they have produced. What I’ve liked about Glamorgan in the competition is almost all of their batsmen have delivered the goods at different times so if they can get two of three of them to come together then they should put up the sort of total that will be more than competitive. I still don’t think this Sussex side have enough with the bat and without Chris Jordan and Jofra Archer I’m not convinced they are much better with the ball either. Glamorgan’s attack has the quality to deliver the goods so at the price they have to be the selection.
I almost took David Wiese to top score in one of the earlier matches in this competition and was kicking myself that I didn’t when he went on and top scored and given his innings that almost got Sussex over the line against Hampshire last time out I can’t ignore him here, especially at 12/1. This Sussex top order isn’t exactly firing apart from that Luke Wright innings on the box a couple of weeks ago. If Glamorgan get him early the door could be open for Wiese to top score once again.
