Tuesday is another busy day of racing with action in the UK and Ireland with three meetings in the UK and another one in Ireland as the sport continues to return across the Irish Sea as we build up to the first classics of the season there later this week.
We have gone through all four cards and on a tricky day to pick out bets we have one either side of the Irish Sea over the course of the day. We’ll start off with the bet from Leopardstown before heading to Haydock for our UK punt.

A big field of 15 for the competitive looking Group 3 Fillies Trail for 3 year olds. Two of the more fancied runners, A New Dawn & Peace Charter exit from the widest 2 stalls & that will likely compromise their chances.
Know It All & Tango are drawn better & are both worthy of their places at the head of the market. The former has run 4 times at Curragh, winning one & then finishing 7th of 9 in the Group 2 Debutante. That day, she was 2 places & less than 1 length behind the 1000 Guineas heroine, Love. Splitting the pair was Tango so the front 2 have claims & are very closely matched.
Betting
At a bigger price, I’ll take a chance on Celestial Object. The Harrington / Foley had a cracking restart at Naas on Monday with 3 winners (at 9/2, 9/2 & 22/1) and 2 more finishing 2nd, that was from just 5 runners. Shane Foley had one more ride from another yard & he won on that too at 18/1.
She ran 4 times as a 2 year old & it’s evident that she’s better in a bigger field with a more even pace, that was shown to best effect when winning her maiden over course & distance by 4 lengths, beating 12 rivals in the process. She was just outside the places in 2 Listed races but really soft ground (on both occasions) & the mile trip were against her. With a decent middle draw, racing on better ground, back at her favoured trip & with her stable on fire, she looks to be a great value each way bet.
Tips
Back Celestial Object (e/w) for a 1/10 stake at 11.00 Boylesports BOG (1/5 odds 1-4)

Probably the best race on the card is a Class 3, 12 runner handicap over the straight 6 furlongs. Aljaady is having his first run for Robert Cowell after leaving Richard Fahey’s yard. Now back at 6 furlongs, he may start to get his career back on track & the race looks at the mercy of David O’Meara. He saddles the favourite in Intisaab who ran a cracker at HQ on Friday when a short head 2nd to Silent Echo. Off the same mark, the biggest worry may just be the ground.
Betting
At double the odds, his other runner Muscika is the one to be on. Danny Tudhope takes the ride & he’s ridden him for 3 (60%) of his career wins despite riding him less than 30% of the time.
This is the selection’s joint lowest mark in the past 2 years (24 runs) & in his 3 runs off this mark of 87, he’s won twice (over 6 furlongs in this grade & on this good ground) and was 4th of 14 on the other run. That 4th was last time out in a Class 2 at Newcastle on the all weather which evidently isn’t his surface. Even so, he finished less than 2 lengths back despite pulling hard. 4 times last summer, he ran 2nd in this & higher grade off marks between 3 and 5lbs higher than today so he’s clearly on an attractive & winnable mark.
There’s a lack of pace here which will play into this prominent runners hand as he may get an easy time of it up front. With the ground in his favour (4 of his 5 wins on good), the conditions look perfect for him to run a very big race.
Tips
Back Muscika (e/w) for a 1/10 stake at 9.50 William Hill BOG (1/5 odds 1-4)
