Team to hit most sixes
That comes in the one on which team hits the most sixes. West Indies are a favourite to hit the most sixes in the tournament and when you consider that they are in action in that first stage that is probably understandable but the forecast for one of the days is very poor so it might be that it isn’t the advantage it could be. They are a big hitting team but this is a squad without the likes of Kieron Pollard, Chris Gayle, Andre Russell and those kinds of fearsome hitters. There is also a chance West Indies don’t come out of their group in which case the market would be wide open to someone else.
England are clearly going to be dangerous in this market but they play two matches at the Melbourne Cricket Ground which could negate their six hitting potential. India would be another danger but they also play twice at the MCG so the door might be open to South Africa, who in Quinton de Kock, Rilee Rossouw, David Miller and Tristan Stubbs have four huge hitters of a cricket ball. South Africa play in Hobart, Perth and Adelaide where some really short boundaries are in play and even Sydney isn’t the biggest. There is a fair chance South Africa come out of their group so they could have six or seven matches to hit the most sixes. At 18/1 I’ll pay to see how they go.
