The Metro Bank One Day Cup returns from a day off with five matches on Tuesday and as we head towards the closing stages of the group phase of the tournament, every match is taking on extra significance for those involved.
As has been the case throughout the competition, if you are having a bet on the One Day Cup and want to follow it in visual format then you need to load up the county streams because The Hundred has the TV coverage.
Group A
Leicestershire are the team who are setting the pace in Group A after they ended the unbeaten start for Hampshire on Sunday. The Foxes will look to take another step towards automatic qualification for the semi-final when they host Essex at Kibworth. Hampshire are also in action in this section on Tuesday. They make the lengthy trip to Old Trafford to take on a Lancashire side who need three wins from their last four to have any chance of progression. Nottinghamshire are still firmly in contention for a place in the knockout stages and they head to Radlett to take on the only winless team in the group in Middlesex. Yorkshire and Surrey have their hopes hanging in the balance and both must win when they meet in York.

Group B
The top team are in action in Group B on Tuesday as well as Warwickshire look to maintain their perfect start to the season when they play host to a Derbyshire team for whom the toll has sounded in the last chance saloon. Warwickshire have played four in this tournament so far, avoided the weather in all of them and won every game. Derbyshire have one win from four matches but with no other game in this group on Tuesday they do have the chance of closing on the pack above them.
Betting
We haven’t seen a low scoring Leicestershire game in this tournament yet and I’m not expecting one now that they are taking their match against Essex out to Kibworth where they will be playing a first XI match for the first time. Leicestershire have been excellent so far in the competition and even when they went down to Nottinghamshire, the rain got involved else things might have been different there too.
Essex haven’t been involved in as many high scoring matches but they recently had a match where 295 played 290 against Middlesex at Chelmsford and they scored at over five an over in dreadful conditions at Southampton and that was never going to be enough. Leicestershire have a fearsome top seven in this competition but their attack can go around the park. They have twice conceded over 300 and shipped 296 to Hampshire on Sunday. The run line for this one is 551.5 and on a club ground I like the over.
