The midweek action in the Sky Bet Championship season concludes on Wednesday evening when the remaining five matches take place on a night where top spot could change hands once again as could the spots in the top six.
All five matches are live on TV in the UK for us to enjoy with one of them on the main channel and the rest behind the streaming offering but if you have a bet and want to follow it there is nothing to stop you from doing that.

Preview
The main TV cameras surprisingly make their way to Pride Park for what is no more than a mid-table clash between Derby County and a Swansea City side who will be looking to bounce back from their late loss to Leeds United on Sunday afternoon. That win sent Leeds top of the Championship and although they dropped down to fourth on Tuesday night, they will move back to the summit if they can win a home game against a Luton Town side who aren’t travelling too well at the minute.
Middlesbrough have suddenly caught fire and they will be hoping that they have saved some goals for their clash against a Blackburn Rovers side who had the weekend off after their match was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch. Portsmouth were the other side not involved at the weekend and they will look to remain off the foot of the table when they host Millwall while QPR will hope to pick up the result which will bring them off the bottom when they head to Wales to take a Cardiff City side who are now just one spot above the drop zone.
Betting
Middlesbrough took a while to click into gear in front of goal this season despite their attacking output numbers apart from scoring being the best in the league by a fair distance but having scored 15 in their last three matches I think it is safe to say that Michael Carrick has found the formula and the personnel to turn the amount of attacking play they have into goals and Blackburn Rovers might well be the latest team to feel the full force of that attack.
Rovers head to the Riverside having not played for almost three weeks and while that sounds good from a freshness point of view, it remains to be seen whether some rust has set in over that time. Even if it hasn’t, their win in Cardiff on their last away trip was their only one of the season so far and after a bit of a bounce under the interim boss, Cardiff have gone quiet again so I’m not sure that is much of a form guide and the Bluebirds were afforded 20 shots in that match and if Boro get that many carnage could ensue once again here. There is enough depth in the squad for Carrick to make changes should he need to so I think Middlesbrough have to be backed here.
