ATP Miami Open Tennis 2025 – Day 6 Tips and Betting Preview

The third round of the ATP Miami Open concludes on Monday when the top half of the draw catch up with the bottom one in the latest Masters 1000 tournament as the Hard Rock Stadium opens its doors once again.

The number one seed Alexander Zverev will headline a day where although the seeded players can face each other, we only actually have two matches with two seeds in it such was the number of shocks in this half on Saturday.

Stadium

We only have two matches on the Stadium court on Monday after the entertaining three that we had on Sunday. It is the first match in both sessions where the men’s action comes along and the number one seed Alexander Zverev will get proceedings underway. He faces Jordan Thompson for a spot in the last 16 but the match everyone will be waiting for on this court comes along in the night session as Alex de Minaur takes on the man that is starting to excite plenty in the form of the Brazilian youngster Joao Fonseca.

Grandstand

Two matches on the Stadium court means three on the Grandstand on Monday and once a tasty looking women’s match has been completed it is men all the way. The first ATP match on this court sees the leading ranked American player Taylor Fritz looking to make it through at the expense of Denis Shapovalov before another home star takes to the court as Frances Tiafoe faces Arthur Fils. The big names keep coming in the third match on this court too as Matteo Berrettini looks to make progress when he faces off against Zizou Bergs.

Butch Buchholz/Court 1

The other three men’s matches on Monday take place over on the Butch Buchholz court and Court 1. Just the one match takes place on the former which sees the Czech star Tomas Machac on show when he goes up against the big serving American player Reilly Opelka. Over on Court 1 we have two matches with the lucky loser Alex Walton and the wildcard Coleman Wong get things underway in what is clearly a huge opportunity for both men. When they are done Roman Safiullin and Jakub Mensik go at it for a place in the last 16.

Betting

This looks like a competitive day of tennis but I can’t really find anything that stands out on the prices with the exception of one which comes along in the opening match over on Court 1 where I’m surprised that Coleman Wong is as big as 13/8 to get the better of Adam Walton who was rather fortunate to be back in this tournament. Hubert Hurkacz pulled out so not only did Walton get a second chance, he went straight into the second round with it and then drew a Luciano Darderi who had won one of his last 11 matches arriving at this tournament.

Coleman Wong hasn’t had the luck of the draw by any means. He saw off a game Daniel Altmaier in the first round and then stunned Ben Shelton on home soil in the second round so he should have his tail up nicely going into this match. These two have only met once in the past which was in a Challenger event in Thailand at the back end of last year and Wong won that match. Walton might be the better player overall but the better form this week has been with Wong who feels worth a go at the prices.
