There are three matches in the Premier League on Sunday with all eyes being on the King Power Stadium where Leicester have the chance to open up a 10pt gap on Tottenham in the race for the title when they host West Ham. Liverpool head to Bournemouth and Arsenal host Crystal Palace in the other two matches.
Leicester vs West Ham
The tricky finale for Leicester begins with an awkward clash with European football chasing West Ham who have gone really well away to the big teams this season.
This could be an interesting clash in styles because both sides prefer to counter attack but we saw with their game against Arsenal last week that West Ham don’t panic when they go behind and they can still come back into the match. With Leicester having not conceded for ages it remains to be seen how they will be when they go behind but that wasn’t a problem earlier in the season.
I think West Ham have the artillery to cause West Ham issues in this match and as such I’m going to back both teams to score in this one. I don’t see Leicester not scoring with West Ham’s defence starting to leak oil. In Vardy, Mahrez, Payet and Carroll we’ve got some real in form attacking players on show here so both teams to score looks ok to me.
Bournemouth vs Liverpool
If it wasn’t for the emotional rollercoaster of the Dortmund game on Thursday night I would have played at Liverpool here. Bournemouth have done all they need to do this season and are able to enjoy the rest of their first campaign at this level.
Liverpool are improving all the time and while I still think they will win there is a doubt about how much they’ve got left in the tank after that great game. That’s enough for me to give this match a swerve.
Arsenal vs Crystal Palace
The final game of the day is a London derby with Arsenal looking to move back into third against Crystal Palace who will be looking to secure some form and momentum to take into their FA Cup semi-final next week.
If I had to bet I’d probably chance Arsenal on a handicap in the hope that Palace have more than half an eye on next week but that would be very much hoping that is the case and at this stage of the season I’d rather not rely on hope for anything so it is just the one bet for me.
