Caribbean Premier League – Jamaica Tallawahs vs Trinbago Knight Riders Betting Preview

Potentially the two best sides in the Caribbean Premier League meet in the tournament on Monday night when the Jamaica Tallawahs host the Trinbago Knight Riders at Sabina Park as the season continues to flow quickly.

Both sides will be eyeing a spot in the playoffs from the positions they are in and in order to strengthen those claims both sides will be eyeing up a win here. Jamaica are in the stronger position of the two but a Trinbago win has them sitting nicely.

Jamaica Tallawahs

Jamaica go into this match off the back of absolutely annihilating St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in their last match. It was a game where their batting and their bowling came together as one and the result was a significant sized win that if run rate becomes an issue at any point they are well stocked in that column.

Maybe the best thing to happen to Jamaica in that match was the fact that Chris Gayle didn’t really do anything in it and yet they still won it by a large margin. That should give them plenty of belief going into the remainder of the tournament.

Trinbago Knight Riders

The Trinbago Knight Riders look like they are just starting to get it together. They have won their last two matches, both pretty convincingly and are starting to perform with both the bat and the ball. We knew it would be only a matter of time until such a bowling attack started to perform well but they will need to do that here too.

The addition to the side of both William Perkins and Denesh Ramdin look like masterstrokes with the bat too and West Indies’ loss is very much Trinbago’s gain as far as Ramdin is concerned. It makes them look very solid right throughout the side.

Betting

This should be an absolute crackerjack of a match and I’m expecting plenty of fireworks here. I believe these two are the best two in the tournament but I fancy that the conditions might just favour the visitors here.

Clearly they will need to control Chris Gayle but he doesn’t look completely fit to me anyway and I wouldn’t actually be surprised if he sits a game out soon to fully recover from whatever it is that is hampering him at the present time.

Trinbago Knight Riders look strong with the bat with Hashim Amla in excellent form and the likes of Perkins, Colin Munro and Dwayne Dravo going great guns too and whenever Sunil Narine is around you know you are always in the game with the ball. He is well backed up by Kevon Cooper, Dwayne Bravo and Ronsford Beaton.

There won’t be a lot in this match but the quality spin that the Trinbago side have just tips the edge in their favour for me and at odds against I’m happy to back them to win this one.
