The final match of the Jamaica leg of this CPL season takes place on Friday night when the Jamaica Tallawahs host the Guyana Amazon Warriors in a clash which has implications for both sides.
Both teams end their regular season campaign in this match. A win for Jamaica will guarantee them a spot in the top two in the table while a win for Guyana will all but secure their play-off place. Whoever loses will be looking over their shoulder over the weekend.
Jamaica Tallawahs
Jamaica overtook St Kitts and Nevis in the race for second spot in their previous match and they head into this one knowing that they will be guaranteed two bites at making the final should they come out on top. That would secure second spot. If not they will be hoping Barbados beat St Kitts in order for them to finish second.
Jamaica have really come on strong in the second half of this campaign. They have found a batting order which gets the best out of what they have and that is all they needed because they have a bowling attack that can be tough to get away. That combination has proven to be a very successful one.
Guyana Amazon Warriors
It has been an up and down season for the Warriors but they have hung in there enough to have maintained a chance of making it to the postseason and given their superior run rate they know a win here should be enough to see them advance. If they don’t win then they would need Barbados to drop a match to go through.
Guyana have struggled badly with the bat when they have been beaten this season but generally when they have batted well they have gone on to win. There is no secret in that so they will need to ensure they bat well here whether they are batting first or second. They have two of the higher run scorers in the tournament which will help.
Team News
Unless Jamaica want to fiddle around with their bowling attack it is hard to see them making too many changes for this game after such a positive performance in their previous outing.
Guyana Amazon Warriors go into this one off the back of biggest win of the tournament so far so you would think they would be very happy with their side right now.

Betting
Guyana Amazon Warriors have won their last three matches coming into this one and the last two have been very dominant and authoritative which should have given them all the confidence that they need going into this match.
Jamaica Tallawahs have been playing well too but they have had a heavy schedule recently which might not have helped them. I also think this match is bigger for Guyana than it is for Jamaica which might have the minds of the visitors more focused so all things being equal the value lies with the away side here.
