CSA T20 Challenge – Friday 2nd December Matches Betting Preview

It is Friday night time again which means it is CSA T20 Challenge time too and we have two matches in the competition on this particular end of the week and for one of the sides in action this is a pivotal night of the tournament.

As ever we have one televised match and then there is one away from the TV as the tournament heads firmly into the second half of the season. We’ll begin with the televised match.

Knights vs Highveld Lions

This is the second time in three days that we get to see the Knights. They were horrendous on Wednesday night in a match which ended their chances of qualifying as far as their coach is concerned. The Lions won last time out and this is must win for them if they are to push for the playoffs.

The Knights looked a beaten side against the Warriors. They failed to make it to 100 and the way they played spin in that match was bordering on embarrassing and that isn’t going to do much for their confidence ahead of playing a load more spin here.

I’m going to back the Highveld Lions to win the match and to hit the most sixes here. Their spin twins are pretty tight while they get a couple of key players back in the form of Reeza Hendricks and Dwayne Pretorius so I like the Lions to win and with the Knights only hitting four sixes in four innings since that amazing Miller century earlier in the competition you have to think the Lions can belt the most sixes too.

Titans vs Warriors

The top two meet in the other match which surprisingly isn’t the TV game although I guess the TV schedule was determined before the tournament began so that is just unfortunate. Warriors closed in on the Titans on Wednesday and a win here would significantly boost their chances of topping the table. A win for the Titans would effectively seal top spot so this should be competitive.

I think the Titans are the better side of the two and I expect that to play out into a home win but they are plenty short enough. They are strong enough though that I don’t really want to take them on so I’ll sit this one out and focus on the TV match.
