EURO2016 – Hungary Team Preview – Group F

Hungary Team Preview – Overview

Hungary surprised the whole of Europe when they came through a playoff against Norway to qualify for the European Championships for the first time since 1972. In the two previous appearances they have had in the tournament they have gone deep both times but it would be foolish to expect anything of that nature from this side.

While the Hungarian people will enjoy the fact their nation is back among the elite again their joy is likely to be short lived. They look like the worst side to qualify for the tournament and are going to be up against it right from the off. One consolation could be that four third placed sides will move into the next round.

Betting

It is so hard to bet on any Hungarian markets for this tournament. It would be a minor miracle if Hungary come out of the group and not far off that if they don’t finish bottom but that is reflected in the prices which isn’t ideal.

Hungary are another side who don’t have a genuine out and out goalscorer at this level so even betting on their top scorer market isn’t easy although I have to say no scorer at 7/1 is mighty tempting but we will probably get better value betting on their matches rather than their tournament markets so I’ll swerve here.
