It is another busy Saturday evening in Major League Soccer as the MLS season continues on. As with most Saturday schedules we have a match live on TV in the UK which is probably the big match of the day. In total we have seven matches to get stuck into on Saturday.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off time in brackets)
Seattle Sounders vs Portland Timbers (19.30)
Vancouver Whitecaps vs DC United (00.00)
New York Red Bulls vs New England Revolution (00.30)
Colorado Rapids vs Sporting Kansas City (01.00)
Minnesota United vs Orlando City (01.00)
Real Salt Lake vs Philadelphia Union (01.00)
San Jose Earthquakes vs Los Angeles Galaxy (03.00)
Big Matches
The TV match is the battle of the last two MLS Cup champions when Seattle Sounders host the Portland Timbers. It is bottom against top in the Western Conference when the Colorado Rapids host Sporting Kansas City.
The Rest
San Jose Earthquakes could move level with top spot in the Western Conference when they host an improving Los Angeles Galaxy while another side on the upgrade in Vancouver Whitecaps take on DC United. New York Red Bulls and New England Revolution face off in an Eastern Conference match while Minnesota United take on Orlando City and Real Salt Lake meet Philadelphia Union in a battle of two strugglers.

Betting
I’m going with two bets on Saturday and they come in the first two matches to kick off. In the live game I think it is fair to expect goals. Portland Timbers just shipped four at Montreal but generally have a go even on the road while Seattle Sounders matches have been pretty open this season too.
Just like Portland, Seattle are shipping goals at the minute. Prior to their win last time out Seattle had shipped seven goals in two matches. The last five meetings between the two have contained more than 2.5 goals and I fancy this one will do too.
The other bet is for the improving Vancouver Whitecaps who have won three of their last four matches with the defeat in among that run being in Houston of which there is no shame. DC United have lost their last three matches and haven’t scored in that run either so all things being equal you would think this would be a routine home win.
Tips
Back Seattle Sounders vs Portland Timbers – Over 2.5 goals for a 4/10 stake at 1.73 with BetVictor
