Real Salt Lake City vs Vancouver Whitecaps (02.30)

San Jose Earthquakes vs Seattle Sounders (03.30)

Big Matches

The big match as far as UK television is concerned is the one between Toronto FC and Atlanta United. Both sides are genuine contenders for the Eastern Conference and can lay a marker down there.

Elsewhere Western Conference leaders Portland Timbers head to Philadelphia looking to extend their lead in that conference. There is also a Western Conference clash between San Jose Earthquakes and Seattle Sounders.

The Rest

Chicago Fire will go in search of a win when they host Columbus Crew while New England Revolution will be out to build on a draw in Portland when they entertain the entertaining Houston Dynamo. New York City head to the capital to take on DC United while struggling Real Salt Lake and Vancouver do battle. Minnows Minnesota United head to Dallas.

Betting

Just the one bet for me in these matches and it comes in the form of the Western Conference leaders Portland Timbers. The Timbers have impressed me both at home and away this season and I fancy they will pick something up on the road at Philadelphia Union.

It has been a tough start to the season for Philadelphia and they head into this match winless so their confidence could well be on the low side. I don’t see that being the case for Portland even though they have failed to win either of their last two matches. They have created chances throughout those two games and looked good in them and a repeat of those performances with a bit of a clinical edge added should be enough to at least avoid defeat if not pick up another win.

Tips

WON – Back Portland Timbers (+0.25AH) to beat Philadelphia Union for a 4/10 stake at 1.99 with 188bet
