There are two matches on Sunday night to finish the latest round of matches in the MLS with both of them on TV in the UK. We have a match in the Eastern Conference followed by one in the Western Conference on what should be a decent night of football action.
Two sides in the play-off places in their respective Conferences take on sides at the wrong end of each table over the course of what could be an important evening.

New York City FC vs New England Revolution
There is a local derby of sorts to get us underway as Yankee Stadium plays host to David Villa and his New York City FC side when they take on the New England Revolution. With Chicago Fire dropping points on Saturday night there is the chance for NYCFC to take charge of a top two spot.
New England Revolution go over to the Yankee Stadium in decent enough form having won three of their previous four matches although all of those wins have come in Foxboro and now they need to find a road win if they are to close in on the play-off places in the East.
The problem for the Revolution is that they still have not won on the road this season and only one side has left Yankee Stadium with all three points too. That was Orlando City. NYC have won five and drawn against Toronto FC in their last six at home and given the issues the Revolution have on the road I’m expecting this to be a home win.
Seattle Sounders vs Minnesota United
The Seattle Sounders, second in the Western Conference heading into the weekend, host rank bottom Minnesota United in a match which should be a comfortable home win if the odds are to be believed.
The champions got going at this time of the campaign last year and there are signs of a repeat this term too. They are on a good unbeaten run and have not conceded in their last four matches. That run includes a 4-0 win in Minnesota just two weeks ago.
Minnesota thrashed DC United the week before that but that remains their only win in their last five matches and indeed it is the only game they have scored in during that time. I expect the Sounders to win this match but they don’t score enough for me to be completely confident they can cover a 1.75 goal handicap.
