There is a mini-midweek card in the MLS this week with two matches taking place across the league on Wednesday night into Thursday morning UK time and for a couple of the sides in action they are big matches too.
Atlanta United and Montreal Impact are both looking to secure play-off berths in the Eastern Conference. One is faring better than the other at the minute and both are in action in these matches.

Atlanta United vs Los Angeles Galaxy (00.00 BST)
The charging Atlanta United, with more home matches in the bank than they could dream of after playing a lot of away matches so far this season, host a Los Angeles Galaxy who are in a right state at the present time. This match is live on Sky for those of us in the UK.
The new franchise Atlanta United are in good form right now. They have only lost one of their last 11 matches and have only lost two matches in their various home venues all season. Since moving to the Mercedes Benz Stadium they have been in awesome form even allowing for a draw with Orlando last time out.
I’ve no idea what is going on with the Galaxy right now but things clearly are not good. The coach kept them in the dressing room after the 4-0 defeat to Toronto FC at the weekend and fans remained in the stadium demanding answers.
This looks like an ideal opportunity for Atlanta to get back on the horse. They will score goals. They’ve bagged 13 in three matches at their new ground and with Galaxy offering a leaky defence and little the other way I expect Atlanta to win this comfortably.
Toronto FC vs Montreal Impact (00.30)
The second match of the evening comes from Canada as there is an all-Canadian clash in the Eastern Conference when the leaders Toronto FC host Montreal Impact who are desperate to win the match after sliding away from the play-off places.
Toronto FC head into this match off the back of seven wins in their last eight matches and in each of those wins they have scored at least three goals. They even had the luxury of being without Sebastian Giovinco and Jozy Altidore at the weekend and still went to Los Angeles and won 4-0.
Montreal Impact looked like they were launching a play-off charge a few weeks ago but that has been halted with four successive defeats and if they are to make the top six they need to get back to winning ways fast.
Given the need for Montreal to win I fancy they might be very expansive in this match. These two sides generally compete in high scoring matches when they collide and I don’t see this one being any different. I’m happy to be on over 3 here.
