Five matches take place on Saturday evening as ‘Rivalry Week’ continues in the MLS and after three entertaining evenings in the round of fixtures so far we pretty much know what to expect over the course of the night.
Once again we will be reduced to the live streams to keep abreast of the action over the course of the night but there are enough of them for us not to miss anything of what should be a real competitive evening.
Saturday fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off time in brackets)
Philadelphia Union vs New England Revolution (00.00)
Toronto FC vs Montreal Impact (01.00)
Sporting Kansas City vs Minnesota United (01.30)
Colorado Rapids vs Real Salt Lake (02.00)
San Jose Earthquakes vs Vancouver Whitecaps (03.00)
Preview
The big game of the night in the Eastern Conference is the one between the Philadelphia Union and New England Revolution. The Union have made it into the play-off places while the Revs are one below them but that could all change if New England get a win there. Toronto take on Montreal Impact and if they win they will go six points behind their Canadian rivals with two matches in hand of them.
Over in the Western Conference, Sporting Kansas City have the chance to move to within a point of the leaders FC Dallas if they can beat Minnesota United while the two worst sides in the division Colorado Rapids and San Jose Earthquakes play host to Real Salt Lake and Vancouver Whitecaps respectively.

Betting
I’m not a massive backer of huge handicaps but I’ll put that aside on Saturday evening to get involved in Sporting Kansas City when they go up against Minnesota United in what is a pretty big match for the home side.
Sporting Kansas City go into the match having won their last three and they have done so without conceding a single goal in that time while Minnesota are four without a win and have only won once on their travels all season, scoring just 14 times in 12 matches and shipping 33. Minny are also without their two best players in Darwin Quintero who is injured and Christian Ramirez who has left. SKC have picked up since Felipe Gutierrez came back from injury. That is no surprise and I expect the home side to win by a couple here.
