The majority of the latest round of matches in the MLS take place on Saturday night with a few interesting clashes being played out up and down the country for us to enjoy and hopefully win a couple of quid or so on.
We did that with a winner on Friday night and in total we have seven matches to get stuck into with one of them being on TV on the various channels in the UK. There are plenty of streams as ever for the other matches.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off in brackets)
Chicago Fire v Colorado Rapids (18.00)
Philadelphia Union v Montreal Impact (18.00)
Orlando City SC v Vancouver Whitecaps FC (20.00)
Atlanta United FC v FC Dallas (21.00)
Columbus Crew SC v Portland Timbers (00.30)
New England Revolution v New York Red Bulls (00.30)
San Jose Earthquakes vs Sporting Kansas City (03.00)
Big Matches
The match that is live on TV for those of us who are in the UK is the one featuring the champions Atlanta United, who have got off to a stuttering start to their title defence but who will be hoping to build on a maiden win of the season last week when they take on FC Dallas. Elsewhere we have the third placed team in the Eastern Conference, Columbus Crew hosting the former champions Portland Timbers in a big match for the visitors.
Best of the Rest
We have to wait until later in the weekend and into next week for the two Conference leaders to be in action but Montreal Impact can enhance their position in the standings when they head to the Philadelphia Union while Orlando City will be looking for another victory when they welcome the Vancouver Whitecaps to Florida. New England Revolution host the New York Red Bulls and the San Jose Earthquakes take on Sporting Kansas City in the two other same Conference clashes on the night.

Betting
This is a tricky card to bet on. Last season there would have been a couple of bankers on this list but those sides are flattering to deceive at the minute and so in the end after a winner on Friday night and with an attractive looking match to come on Sunday evening, I’ll go with the one bet which involved the Columbus Crew.
They host a Portland Timbers side who have one point to their name all season, have lost their last five and look like a team who urgently need a return home. Sadly for them it is a while before they play at home and they look like they have run out of gas. They are finding goals hard to come by with just six all season and with Diego Valeri a major doubt here that won’t help them either. Columbus Crew don’t score many but they concede even fewer and it could be that one is enough for the home side here. However many they need the Timbers just aren’t defending well enough or attacking positively enough for my liking. I’m with the Crew here.
