The Major League Soccer weekend kicked off in an entertaining style on Friday night and the bulk of the latest round of matches take place on what should be an equally exciting Saturday evening as the two tables begin to develop nicely.
There are no fewer than five matches live on TV on the various channels for those of us who watch this league from in the UK. There are all the usual streams on offer for the other games too so there is no reason to miss any of the action.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off in brackets)
New York Red Bulls v LA Galaxy (19.00)
Houston Dynamo v FC Dallas (21.00)
Orlando City SC v Toronto FC (21.00)
Montreal Impact v New York City FC (22.00)
Philadelphia Union vs New England Revolution (00.30)
D.C. United v Columbus Crew SC (01.00)
Minnesota United FC v Seattle Sounders FC (01.00)
Real Salt Lake v Portland Timbers (02.00)
San Jose Earthquakes v FC Cincinnati (03.00)
Los Angeles Football Club v Chicago Fire (03.30)
Big Matches
The TV action begins right at the start of the evening schedule as the New York Red Bulls host LA Galaxy and then later in the evening both the 9pm matches are live as Houston Dynamo host FC Dallas in the Western Conference while at the same time Orlando City host Toronto FC. Deeper in the evening the big Western Conference clash between Minnesota United and Seattle Sounders is also live on TV as is the one between Los Angeles FC and Chicago Fire.
Best of the Rest
Elsewhere there are a couple of important matches in the Eastern Conference as Montreal Impact take on New York City FC and DC United go up against the Columbus Crew with the other match of the night coming from California where the San Jose Earthquakes play host to the newcomers of FC Cincinnati.

Betting
I’ll go with three bets over the course of the evening. The first of them comes from Orlando where I expect to see goals between Orlando City and Toronto FC. Both these sides have good attacking talents and both can be exposed defensively as we have seen at times this season. Eight of the last nine matches between these two have had three goals or more in them while every Toronto FC match this term has contained three or more goals. Orlando are no strangers to shootouts so I expect this one to cover.
I also like two home sides to win later in the night. San Jose Earthquakes have suddenly caught fire and they should be too good for FC Cincinnati who have done a fair amount of travelling in recent times having played in Philadelphia in midweek. Cincinnati have lost their last four while San Jose have just one defeat in their last five and finally look like a competitive unit going forward. I’ll take the hosts here.
I’ll also take the home side in Los Angeles where LAFC have overwhelm Chicago Fire like they have done most sides who have opposed them in California this term. LAFC are a perfect five from five at home this season scoring 14 goals and conceding only four in the process. Chicago Fire are winless on the road and might be better served saving themselves for better opportunities. Los Angeles are rampant at the minute and that can continue with a comfortable win here.
