Big Matches

After two rounds of matches in the MLS season, incredibly only four teams have two wins to their name. Seattle Sounders are one of those and they are looking very good. They head to FC Cincinnati looking to make it three from three. In the Western Conference, the other side with two wins at the new boys St Louis City and they head to Portland Timbers looking to maintain their perfect record. Over in the Eastern Conference, New England Revolution and Inter Miami are the two perfect teams so far. The former don’t play until Sunday but the latter are in action when they head on their travels for the first time this season to take on New York City FC.

Best of the Rest

This set of matches comes in between the first and second legs of Champions League ties and among the teams who might have an eye on midweek continental encounters rather than these games are the Vancouver Whitecaps, who host FC Dallas, Orlando City who head to DC United, Philadelphia Union who welcome Chicago Fire to Subaru Park and Austin FC who head to Real Salt Lake. The opening match of the day sees Charlotte FC taking on Atlanta United while two appealing matches sees Toronto FC hosting the Columbus Crew and Sporting Kansas City welcoming LA Galaxy to Children’s Mercy Park.

Betting

There is no hiding the fact that Seattle Sounders have absolutely flown out of the blocks this season and although they go on the road for the first time on Saturday night, I see no reason why the goals won’t continue to flow when they go up against FC Cincinnati, who themselves have begun the season creditably with a win and a draw from their opening two matches. These are two sides who rarely sit on the back foot and I don’t expect that to change much here.

There will be some heavy attacking artillery on the pitch in this match with the likes of Jordan Morris, Brandon Vazquez and Heber already showing great form this season and with the creative qualities of Luciano Acosta and Nico Lodeiro providing them with chances they are never going to be short of supply in front of goal. We haven’t seen the Seattle defence tested yet but it will be here and the Cincinnati one certainly will be. I think there is more than enough evidence to think over 2.75 goals will land here.
