Big Matches
The two Conference leaders are both on show on Saturday night. St Louis City SC are the leaders in the Supporters’ Shield race once again and they make the trip to Colorado Rapids who are without a defeat in four games. Over in the Eastern Conference it is the New England Revolution who lead the way. They play host to a Sporting Kansas City side who are yet to win a match this season. The champions Los Angeles FC are also on show on Saturday evening. They make the trip to music city to take on Nashville SC.
Best of the Rest
FC Cincinnati are riding high in the Eastern Conference and they will be looking to keep up that lofty position when they host a Portland Timbers who had an emphatic win over rivals Seattle Sounders last week. The Sounders will be looking to bounce back from that defeat when they take on Minnesota United. LA Galaxy are still looking for their first win of the season and they host Austin FC while the Columbus Crew will look to make it five matches unbeaten when they head to Charlotte FC. At the other end of the Eastern Conference, CF Montreal host New York Red Bulls while Toronto FC will looks for a second win of the campaign when they head to the current Eastern champions Philadelphia Union.
Betting
Philadelphia Union are no strangers to high scoring matches, especially at Subaru Park, and they might well be involved in another against a Toronto FC team who are beginning to find their mojo offensively. The Union have made a very ordinary start to their season when you consider how good their squad is and how well they went last season and we are getting to the time where they really need to knuckle down and get things moving.
Toronto FC have been a work in progress for a long while but they build a much better squad ahead of this term. You wouldn’t call it perfect but it is much better than it was and now that we are approaching the 10 game mark you would expect them to have their combinations established and this talented Canadian attacking core should be a threat to any defence that they face. You can get 4/5 on over 2.5 goals in this one and that looks good enough to me.
