Big Matches

We have a good mix of matches to enjoy over the course of Saturday evening with all eyes on the leaders of the Supporters’ Shield race, FC Cincinnati, when they host the Chicago Fire. We’ve just had a couple of weeks of rivalry matches but the latest battle in the Cascadia Cup takes place on Saturday too when Seattle Sounders welcome Portland Timbers to Lumen Field. Nashville SC are the nearest challengers in the Supporters’ Shield race and they make the trip to Texas to take on FC Dallas is another of the bigger matches on the night.

Best of the Rest

The action actually begins in the Bronx when New York City play host to the New England Revolution with the visitors looking to get back to winning ways. St Louis City SC have made a good start to the season and they go in search of a third straight win when they host Houston Dynamo. Philadelphia Union have clicked into form in recent weeks and they will be hoping to keep that going when they host CF Montreal while Columbus Crew will look to find their better football when Charlotte FC are the visitors to that part of Ohio. Two teams who are finding form meet at BC Place where Vancouver Whitecaps take on Sporting Kansas City.

Betting

I’ll go with one bet over the course of the evening with that coming in Ohio where the Columbus Crew host Charlotte FC in a match I expect to be high scoring. Charlotte FC were shut out by the Philadelphia Union in midweek but the Columbus defence is nothing like as strong as that Philadelphia one, particularly when you consider the number of centre backs that they are missing so I expect to see a lot more of Charlotte from an attacking point of view.

Charlotte are no better than Columbus defensively though and you would expect the likes of Cucho Hernandez and Lucas Zelarayan to pick them apart and for the Crew to really have their own way in offensive areas of the pitch. Five of the last six Columbus matches have had three or more in them and that is a trend I expect to continue, especially when they play at Lower.com Field where they are very comfortable. I expect over 2.75 goals in this one.

Tips

Back Columbus Crew vs Charlotte FC – Over 2.75 goals for a 3/10 stake at 1.95 with Bet365
