The best has been saved for last in terms of Week 10 of the NFL campaign as the Monday Night Football this week is a battle in the NFC West featuring two great sides – San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks.
The 49ers possess the only remaining undefeated record now and they will look to maintain that against the fiercest rivals, who themselves are not too shabby with their 7-2 ledger. This should be an absolute belter.
San Francisco 49ers
It is a sublime 8-0 record for the San Francisco 49ers and it might just be that they are the best team in football at present. There appears to be few weaknesses in this side. If you were being picky then you could argue they have surrendered a few too many yards on the ground in their last couple of outings, but the flip side of that is that their offense has churned out no fewer than 79 points in their last two games.
Quite rightly a lot is being made of George Kittle, Matt Breida and Nick Bosa, all have been tremendous, but what I like about this San Francisco side is that all their collective units are strong, headlined by those three game changers. It is a little daft to suggest they could complete the perfect season in the division they are in, but another win here would have plenty of people beginning to wonder if it is possible.
Seattle Seahawks
It might not have been as convincing as the San Francisco campaign but you would have to say that the Seattle Seahawks are in the middle of a fine season too. Yes they have relied on the absolute top notch ability of Russell Wilson but I’m not going to criticise them for that because that is what they acquired him for. Clearly some others will need to stand up here, to protect him from this insanely good pass rush if nothing else.
It is the Seahawks’ defence which is most likely to have to stand up. They are one of the worst in the league for points conceded and against a side who are scoring for fun they have to shore up at the back if they are to come through this. They will also need to take advantage of the poor run defence that the 49ers have shown over the last couple of weeks, not just to score points but to keep their defence off the field.

I think we are going to get a high scoring game here. Both these offenses are on fire and although the San Francisco defence is statistically the best in the league, it has just lessened off a little in recent weeks and Seattle have the offensive weapons to take advantage of that so even with the rivalry between these two I’m expecting the points to flow.
San Francisco don’t look like they can stop scoring at the minute and the addition of Emmanuel Sanders to their ranks has added some real quality to their passing game. Russell Wilson is a serious MVP contender this season so there is enough to think that a line of 46.5pts is not going to be high enough when these two meet.
