The majority of the week seven matches in the NFL season take place in the usual two kick off slots on Sunday with some really good games among them. After a shift in the schedule we are left with 11 games to get stuck into.
As ever on a Sunday there are a couple of televised matches and then looking down the schedule there are a few divisional clashes as well. The matches that aren’t on TV can be seen at the bookmaker streams or via RedZone.
1pm Kick Offs (5pm UK time)
Two unbeaten teams collide in the televised match in this first session slot when the Tennessee Titans play host to the Pittsburgh Steelers in a match which could give us an indication of where the number one seed in the AFC is to go this season. There are four other matches in this slot that are battles from the same division with the Cincinnati Bengals hosting the Cleveland Browns in the AFC North, New Orleans Saints have got the go ahead to face the Carolina Panthers in the NFC South while New York Jets take on the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East and over in the NFC East the Washington Football Team meet the Dallas Cowboys.
There are only the two matches that aren’t on the TV or a divisional clash. The first of those sees two of the struggling sides in the league going at it when the Atlanta Falcons go up against the Detroit Lions. The other match sees the Green Bay Packers looking to bounce back from their tame defeat last week when they head to the Houston Texans in what you feel is a big match for both teams and their seasons moving forward.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (8.05/8.25pm UK time)
There are four matches in the later kick off slot on Sunday evening with the televised action seeing Jimmy Garoppolo heading back to the Gillette Stadium for the first time since leaving when he takes his San Francisco 49ers to face the New England Patriots. There is one match which is a divisional clash in this set of matches as the Denver Broncos welcome the free scoring powerful offense of the Kansas City Chiefs.
The other two matches sees the Los Angeles Chargers which was always going to be going ahead in this time slot while the other match was switched to this one earlier in the week when it was meant to be the Sunday Night Football. That sees the Las Vegas Raiders looking to stop this impressive Tampa Bay Buccaneers side which is beginning to have the hallmark of Tom Brady stamped all over it.
Betting
I’ll go with the one bet here which comes in the later kick off slot as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Las Vegas Raiders in a match where even though they are on the road I’m expecting the visitors to come out on top in and not just win but to do it by a fair margin. That isn’t just a slight on the Raiders, who to be fair a couple of weeks ago pulled off one of the results of the season when they beat the Kansas City Chiefs, but it more the strength of the Bucs.
Not only did the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win last week but their defensive display was one which would have made anyone stand up and take notice. They were getting to Aaron Rodgers at will and in the end they completely broke his spirit. Derek Carr is without the majority of his offensive line in this match so you’ve got to think this Bucs defence will be dialled up to go quarterback hunting once again. Unless they establish a strong running game it is going to be so hard for the Raiders to move the ball so I’ve got to think Tampa Bay can not just win this but cover 3.5 points in the process.
