Week 14 of the NFL 2021 season always promised to be a big one and with that being the case there are plenty of important matches taking place in the Sunday early games as teams see the end of the regular season in sight.
Once again we have a couple of very good looking matches to enjoy throughout the evening on this side of the pond while the major incidents in all of the games will be available to view on Red Zone. Bookmakers are also showing selected matches.
1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)
The TV game in the early slot of games comes from the NFC East where we have a potentially defining clash between the Washington Football Team and the Dallas Cowboys, a match where the Cowboys can resume complete control of the division if they win but could see Washington close right in on them if they lose.
Of the other six matches four of them are divisional matches with the attention on the AFC West and North. In the West the Kansas City Chiefs host the Las Vegas Raiders in what is always a competitive clash while up in the North the Cleveland Browns go up against the Baltimore Ravens looking to avenge a loss from a couple of weeks ago. In the AFC South the Tennessee Titans host the Jacksonville Jaguars while over in the NFC South the Carolina Panthers welcome the Atlanta Falcons. There are two other matches in this session and they see the Houston Texans taking on the Seattle Seahawks and the New York Jets meeting the New Orleans Saints.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)
There are four matches in the later kick off slot and those of us in the UK will get to see the champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers in action. They host a Buffalo Bills side who can’t afford to lose if they are going to maintain a pursuit of the New England Patriots in the race for the AFC East title. The Buccaneers look well on course for the NFC South title and they are playing here to enhance their record and elevate their playoff seeding.
Three other matches take place in the later slot. It could be a big night for the Denver Broncos as they continue their push for a place in the postseason. They host the Detroit Lions in a match they have to win if that is to happen. The Los Angeles Chargers are in a similar position to the Broncos and they will look to enhance their own chances when they welcome the New York Giants in an equally winnable match. The other match sees the Cincinnati Bengals taking on the San Francisco 49ers in a good looking game.
Betting
I might be wrong but this looks like a trappy night of action with some important matches for the bigger teams so I’m going to side with a little bit of caution and take a player bet rather than a spread or an over/under. The match in question is the one between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Buffalo Bills where the rushing yards line of Leonard Fournette has caught my eye in a match the champions will be expected to win.
Fournette has been fairly quiet on the ground since the bye week, a match against the Indianapolis Colts aside, but he should be able to go strong in a clash against a Bills defence which has just been gashed by the run by the Patriots on Monday night and who were pounded by the run from start to finish because of the conditions. They have had an extra day to recover and Fournette is the sort of powerful back the Bills have been known to struggle against. Fournette has a rushing yards line of 58.5 yards and if the Bucs get in front he should coast to the over there.
