Premier League 2021-22 – Sunday 6th March Matches Tips, TV and Betting Preview

The Premier League weekend continues on Sunday when another two matches take place, contests which will have a big impact on both ends of the table as we head towards the pivotal final quarter of the campaign.

Both these matches will be live on the TV throughout the course of the afternoon and with one of the more iconic fixtures of any Premier League season among the games we should get a decent day of action.

Where to watch

The two matches will be shown live on the Super Sunday programme on the Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League channels. The show begins at 1pm with the matches kicking off at 2pm and 4.30pm.

Watford vs Arsenal (14.00)

The opening match of the afternoon sees two clubs in North London meeting in a huge match for both teams when Watford play host to Arsenal in a contest which will effect both ends of the table depending on who comes out on top.

Watford will be looking to move to within goal difference of coming out of the relegation zone with a win here while Arsenal have the chance to move into the top four for a few hours at least so this is a big match for both teams. If I was forced to pick a winner I would take Arsenal here but they don’t always convince me, especially on their travels so I’m pretty happy to leave the match outcome alone but I do like under 2.5 goals. Watford stopped Manchester United scoring at Old Trafford last week and Arsenal aren’t exactly free scoring away from home. They have found the net 16 times in 11 away matches but nine of those came in two games against Leeds and Norwich who have the two leakiest defences in the league. Watford have tightened up under Roy Hodgson but haven’t got it going at the other end of the pitch yet. Arsenal don’t score many away from the Emirates but they don’t concede many either. They have only conceded 17 goals but 12 of those came against three of the top four. This has under 2.5 goals written all over it for me.

Manchester City vs Manchester United (16.30)

The pick of the two matches on Sunday afternoon sees the two sides of Manchester colliding at the Etihad Stadium as Manchester City take on Manchester United in a match which will see City either re-establish a six point lead at the top or will see United remain in fourth place in the table.

Both teams need the win here. City are going great guns at the minute but United have a good recent record in this derby. They have three wins and a draw from the last six matches against City but the problem with backing them is they are just so inconsistent at the minute and they probably can’t be relied upon. They do have players who tend to raise their game against the bigger sides though. City are without Ruben Dias for a while which could be a big loss. My gut feeling is that the home side are a little on the short side here but I’m not one to oppose them and especially not with a side who are as impossible to read as United. I’ll leave this one alone and just watch it.
