Premier League 2021-22 – Thursday 10th February Matches Tips, TV and Betting Preview

A high scoring and extremely entertaining midweek round of matches in the Premier League concludes on Thursday evening when two more games take place where the top end of the table will be the centre of attention.

Both the matches will be live on the TV for those of us in the UK to enjoy but once again the two matches do clash so if you want to watch both of them in full you will need to have a couple of devices on the go.

Liverpool vs Leicester City (19.45 – BT Sport 1)

The big match of the night sees Liverpool looking to keep what is left of a title race alive when they aim to move back to within nine points of Manchester City at the top of the table when they host a Leicester City team for whom things are beginning to unravel fast.

We know all about the Leicester injuries and while they are a legitimate excuse, one or two of their performances recently haven’t been good enough and that has led to Rodgers beginning to publicly criticise his players. That is never a situation which ends well so it will be interesting to see how they respond here. Liverpool are in decent touch and have gone through the period without their two main man Mo Salah and Sadio Mane unscathed. The former is back here so that will boost the Reds but you’ve got to think they could be primed to feast on a terrible Leicester defence. I suspect the Foxes will know attack is their only form of defence so I am expecting a high scoring game with over 3.5 goals the call. The other apparent thing about this match is that Leicester can’t defend set plays to save their life so the 11/2 that Virgil van Dijk scores anytime certainly appeals. He has a couple of goals this season and should get chances regularly from dead balls with Trent Alexander-Arnold always on the money.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Arsenal (19.45 – BT Sport 2)

The other match sees the race for the top taking the spotlight when Wolverhampton Wanderers, the surprise package of the season so far, take on an Arsenal team who will be out to prove that selling their captain on a free transfer wasn’t the bad business it looked like it was.

Wolves have gone very well this season and a win here would move them above their opponents and into sixth place, and not just that high but really well in the race for the Champions League places. Arsenal will move to within one point of the top four if they can come away with the victory but they are not completely convincing on their travels even allowing for the fact that they have scored nine goals in their last two away games. They were only against Leeds and Norwich before anyone gets excited. This one has under 2.5 goals written all over it but bookmakers are well aware of that so I’ll sit this one out.
