Premier League 2021-22 – Tuesday 30th November Matches Tips, TV and Betting Preview

With Christmas approaching the Premier League embarks on some midweek journeys, the first of which comes this week and begins with a couple of fixtures over the course of Tuesday evening as four teams go in search of valuable points.

This is the first of the two rounds of matches that can be watched on Amazon Prime Video so if you have that facility there is no need to miss any of the action, especially if you happen to have a couple of devices to use.

Newcastle United vs Norwich City (19.30)

The first match to kick off this week is a monumental one at the bottom of the table as the bottom two going into the week meet with the aim of enhancing their safety chances when Newcastle United play host to Norwich City.

Both these sides were in a right mess a few weeks ago but Norwich have shown signs of turning the corner in recent weeks and head into this game off the back of a three-match unbeaten run. They are still having issues scoring goals but if they can add that to their game then they have given themselves a fighting chance of surviving. Newcastle are still winless this season and you sense this is a much bigger match for them because of all the enhanced expectation after the takeover. This one could go either way given the necessity to avoid losing but however it ends I’m expecting to see some goals here. These two have shipped 56 goals in the 26 matches they have played this term and just look terrible defensively. They’ll both go in search of a win here because a point isn’t much use to either so this looks a natural over 2.5 goals game.

Leeds United vs Crystal Palace (20.15)

There is plenty of implications at the bottom of the table on the second match to kick off on Tuesday evening too as Leeds United welcome Crystal Palace to Elland Road in a match which sees two entertaining teams doing battle.

Leeds go into the match just three points above the drop zone and they have a horrendous looking fixture list over Christmas approaching. Palace have made a good start to the season and can go seventh for 24 hours if they come away from Yorkshire with a win. The pressure is all on Leeds here though. They have only won two matches all season and in Norwich and Watford you can’t really argue they have beaten anything special.

I’m going to attack the side markets for a bet here because regular readers will know I’m a massive fan of Michael Olise and if you watched Leeds United at the weekend it was hugely apparent they have huge issues at left-back. Olise is an assist machine and has the sort of technical quality which wouldn’t be out of place in the opposing dressing room. The 4/1 on him providing an assist looks a decent way to carry an interest in this one.
