The Premier League weekend continues on Saturday afternoon when four matches take place in a round of games which has been split up because of TV commitments and European outings moving certain games to Sunday.
Although there is a shortage of matches we still have two on the TV to enjoy and get stuck into. As there are only two others they will be much easier to keep up to date with throughout the course of the afternoon.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off and TV in brackets)
Leicester City v Crystal Palace (12.30 – BT Sport 1)
Fulham v AFC Bournemouth (15.00)
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Nottingham Forest (15.00)
Tottenham Hotspur v Everton (17.30 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)

Preview
The televised action bookends the play on Saturday. It begins at the King Power Stadium where Leicester City will be looking to come off the bottom of the table for a few hours at the very least when they welcome a Crystal Palace who should have their confidence buoyed by their win over Leeds United last week. We then have to wait until the final match of the day for the second TV game. That comes from the capital where Tottenham Hotspur will look to close in on the top two who don’t play until Sunday. They host an Everton side who are looking to force their way up the table.
The other two matches look competitive affairs. Craven Cottage is the venue for one of them as two of the clubs promoted last season who have made positive starts to their life back in the Premier League meet when Fulham host AFC Bournemouth. The other match sees two sides in the bottom three battling it out in what feels like a pivotal game towards the bottom of the table when Wolverhampton Wanderers host a Nottingham Forest who are still searching for the right combination.
Betting
Usually I subscribe to the rule of not betting the lunchtime game because some weird things happen when I do but with only four matches on the day I’m happy to put that daft rule to one side on this occasion, not least because the match between Leicester City and Crystal Palace looks full of goals. We have seen all season that Leicester are struggling to keep the ball out of their net and even when they are in control of a game like they were at Bournemouth last week, they switch off and end up conceding.
The good thing is Leicester aren’t short of goals and I find it hard to believe they are going to contain a Palace attack which suddenly has five attacking options in it with Patrick Vieira not shy in going all in with this talented core of young, creative, attacking talents. That could be a recipe for disaster for Leicester who struggle to contain attacks anyway let alone one which comes at you with pace from all angles. Leicester won’t go down without a fight though, we’ve seen that all season, so over 2.5 goals looks an obvious play in this one.
